OBITUARY
Margaret Anastacia Connell Marshall was born in the small town of Lucea, in Hanover, Jamaica West Indies on June 9, 1931.
At an early age she left Jamaica to study Nursing in England, to pursue her passion for helping others. Her commitment to the trade earned her a Certificate as a State Registered Nurse, a Certificate of the British Tuberculosis Association, and a Certificate as a State Certified Midwife.
She met Ronald Marshall in 1957. They wed in London, England with the blessing of Pope Pius XII. The legacy of their love lasted for over 57 years.
Margaret traveled the world as she accompanied Ron on multiple tours of duty over the years in both Europe and the United States, encouraging her four children to experience everything that the world had to offer at a very young age.
In 1970, they returned to the United States and Margaret embraced the role of full time mother to her four children, encouraging each child's dreams and teaching them the value of family. She was well loved by friends and neighbors, nurturing children even outside of the family with a hot meal and tight hug.
After raising four children, Margaret returned to her chosen profession and was assigned to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda as a Charge Nurse, where she attained her degree in Psychiatric Nursing and went to the Psychiatric Institutes of Washington, D.C.
Margaret completed her career in Washington D.C and retired at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in S.E. Washington as a Quality Control Psychiatric Nurse. Post retirement, she volunteered for over 20 years at Malcolm Grow Hospital Pharmacy, Andrews AFB where she received recognition for her commitment annually for her dedication to service.
Peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her home and surrounded by her beloved family, Margaret was called to her heavenly home, with the Lord.
Margaret is survived by her husband Ronald, Colonel Wayne and wife Marcia Anastacia Epps, Donna Marie Marshall, Robert Anthony and wife Wendy Marshall, Marjorie Elizabeth and husband Ian Willis, nine grandchildren, Andrew and Francesca Epps, Alexander and Delanie Kaiser, Sean and Lia Willis, Sydney, Kailee, Chloe Marshall, and great grandchild, Giselle Epps.

A wife to one, a mother/grandmother to many, Margaret embraced life and lived to love. She was proud of her legacy and was passionate about family. As she now lays to rest, we are encouraged each day knowing that she now lives with angels and will forever be in our hearts.
