Lucille Lillian (Williams) Shaw Age 85 of Fort Washington, formerly of Silver Spring, Maryland.
PROFILE OF LIFE
Lucille Lillian Shaw was born February 2, 1931 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of four children to Mary Williams, father, John Lowe (both deceased). Siblings: Eloise Paul, Frances Wilson and Johnnie Williams (deceased). She also preceded her very close cousin, Juanita Ball.
She attended Arkansas Baptist College and moved to Washington, D.C. where she met and married the love her life Otha Shaw (deceased). They had five children: Ronald Shaw (Cheryl Dempsey), Regina Jeter (Toney) and Michael Shaw. Sons, Carleton and Mark Shaw preceded her in death. Her legacy continues with five grandchildren: Matthew Maybin, Nicole Shaw, Phillip Shaw, Ronald Shaw, Jr., and Alexzondra Shaw, as well as six great-grandchildren: Micah and McKenzie Maybin, Devin, Darian and Natilynn Halliburton, and Za'Niyah Reddix. Nothing was more important to her than her family, and she devoted her life to making everyone happy.
Lucille retired from the Department of Navy and continued working part-time for SunTrust and BBT Banks until the ripe age of 82. Her hobbies included reading gothic love novels, playing Bingo, and working crossword puzzles. She was an avid player of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Lucille Lillian Shaw was a devout Christian, a loving wife, an outstanding mother, a nurturing grandmother and a wonderful great-grandmother. She would deny herself in order to give to anyone without knowing that person very well.

Peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her home in Fort Washington, Maryland, Lucille L. Shaw transitioned to eternal life.
