Lourina Cecelia (Proctor) Smith, 74 of Newburg, Maryland.
Lourina Cecelia (Proctor) Smith was born in La Plata, Maryland on December 16, 1944 to James Harold and Cecelia Proctor. She was one of 10 children. She attended Charles County public schools and graduated from Pomonkey High School in 1965. She worked for the Department of Defense, National Imagery and Mapping Agency as a Negative Engraver for 26 years before retiring.
Lourina loved gardening outside, as well as indoors, home-improvements, playing cards and the sweet music of "Oldies but Goodies." When she had time and was asked, she would go to a casino just to play what she called the "Penny Machine." She was also one that was big on family time and visits.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Harold and mother, Cecelia Proctor; sisters, Annie Thompson and Madilene; brothers, Henry, George, John and William Proctor.
Lourina is survived by sons; Dienal Proctor (Ada), James Smith, Jr., Eric Smith and daughter, Sharneen Sloan (Steven); 16 grandchildren, Ava, Lourina, Tevon Dienal, Jr. (DJ), Cornez, Triesha, Asianna, James, III (Trey), William (Max), Eric, Jr., Quayshaun, Marquese, Dominique, Shakiem, Tarrisa, Serenity and 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Elisabeth Swann (EJ) and Alice, brother, James (Sonny) Proctor and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
