Lorenzo Sylvester Forbes, II (Age 35) of Bladensburg, Maryland

Lorenzo Sylvester Forbes II aka Boo, Boobie, or Zo was born on May 1 ^st , 1985, in La Plata, MD to parents, Tawanda A. Butler and Lorenzo S. Forbes I. He was called home to be with the Lord, our Savior, on December 7, 2020.

Lorenzo received his education in Charles County and St. Mary's County Public School systems; graduating from Chopticon High School in 2003. He also attended Universal Technical Institute in Chicago, IL; where he received degree as a Certified Automotive Technician.

After his return from UTI, Lorenzo was employed as a Certified Automotive Technician at Leonardtown Ford, Mr. Tire in Hollywood, MD, Toyota-Hyundai of Lexington Park, MD, Toyota of Waldorf, MD. Before his accident, he was employed at Fort Dupont BP in Washington, DC alongside with his dad, where he was a huge asset to the company. Lorenzo would go out his way to always lend a helping hand to fix their cars outside of working hours.

Lorenzo had a contagious smile and an unforgetting personality. His giving and helping spirit allowed him to befriend all he was in contact with. Even with his disability; he never let it stop him to help others whether it was still working on cars, taking the trash out for the elderly, or doing cooking tutorials for his girlfriend AJ (Aigailetai) Pouoa. Lorenzo has always been known to take every and anything apart just to put it back together. He was able to fix anything and if he didn't know how, he would always learn and get it done. Even throughout all his trials and tribulations, Lorenzo always had that can do attitude.

Lorenzo's passion was racing at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, MD. He would take any car, fast or slow, fix it up and race it down the drag strip. He spent a great deal racing for his close friend and racing family Vance and Tina Newton. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Theodore M. Edelen; maternal grandfather Bernard R. Butler, and his uncle James "Leo" Forbes.

Forbes of White Plains, MD, Tammy Edelen of Waldorf, MD, Joyce Neal of Waldorf, MD, and Deborah F. Butler of CA; Uncles Jeffery L. Forbes of Laurel, MD, Christian "Chris" Butler of Waldorf, MD, Demetrius J. Butler, Sr. of Indian Head, MD, Devon Edelen of VA, Jerome Edelen of La Plata, MD, and Kenny Edelen of Waldorf, MD, and Jarrett Singmore of La Plata, MD; close Cousins Tasha Forbes of La Plata, MD, Marsha Forbes of White Plains, MD, Timikia Butler-Hayes of FL, and Christian Bulter of Waldorf, MD; his girlfriend AJ Pouoa; He is also survived by many other cousins, relatives, extended family, and friends.

His Viewing will be, 10:00 am until time of Service, 11:00 am, Friday, December 18, 2020 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A.
