Remembering the Life of Loren

Loren Davis was born on August 16, 1967, in New Rochelle, NY. Unexpectedly, he transitioned on January 27, 2026. At the age of 58, Loren leaves behind a strong legacy of laughter, joy, faith, and love for his family.

Loren graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1985. He served in the United States Navy and was an avid New York Giants fan. He was a believer of the Word of the Holy Bible. GOD and his family were his most valued treasures in life. He was a member at New Hope Church of God in Waldorf, MD. Loren supported his children academically and extracurricular activities. He held supervisory roles throughout a distinguished 30-year career in law enforcement. He helped youth and the community by coaching flag football.

Loren will be remembered for his warmth, hearty laughter, caring heart, and playful nature. He was a loving man who cared for his family without hesitation - a true "Superman," who never hesitated to help others. He was immensely proud of his wife and children and never shied away from expressing his admiration for them. Loren was respected for his dedication and true friendship.

His humor was a gift that he shared freely - brightening even the heaviest days and reminding those around him that joy is a treasure worth protecting. Though he joked about being frugal, everyone knew he was the best provider - making sure his family was cared for, secured, and surrounded by love. Loren's compassion extended far beyond his home. He had a heart for helping extended family, supporting his coworkers, and guiding the youth. Whether offering advice, lending a hand, or simply showing up when someone needed him, Loren lived a life of service that touched countless lives.

Loren is preceded in death by his loving mother, Ruby Musgrove; his father, Prentiss Davis; his brother, Keith Davis; his sister, Carla Davis; and his brother-in-law, Mario Tate. He leaves his memory to his devoted wife, Latonya Davis and two adored children: his son, Jadon Davis and daughter, Janiyah Davis; his respected brothers, Robert Musgrove, Kevin Davis; and beloved sister, Kevia Davis; cherished mother-in-law, Edna Tate; treasured sister-in-law, Jamieka Tomlinson (Shane); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

In the verse of Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." May God’s word offer peace and reassurance that He will continue to shepherd us through our time of grief. We bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and faithful servant. We are comforted that Loren is in the embrace of his Heavenly Father. Rest in peace, Loren Davis.
