Obituary

Lisa Annette (Proctor) Brooks was born to Juanita Thompson and John (Robey) Proctor on August 12, 1988 in La Plata MD. She unexpectedly departed this life on August 4, 2011 in Callaway, MD.

Lisa grew up in Charles County MD where she attended school. She moved to St. Mary's County which is where she met and married her husband George Brooks on March 10, 2009. From that unity Lisa gave birth to her daughter, Savannah Payton Lynn Brooks.

Lisa worked at Cedar Lane Nursing Home in Leonardtown MD as a dietary aid. She loved the people she helped take care of.

With Lisa being the youngest of five girls she grew up with her nephew Michael (Mike Mike) Key Jr and her nieces Ashley Bradley and Latara Key. Lisa took pride in her nieces and nephews. They were a very big part of Lisa's life and they did everything together as if they were brothers and sisters.

Lisa loved being around family and friends enjoying reminiscing on the days when she was growing up and her time with her family.

Lisa is survived by her Parent's John (Robey) Proctor and Juanita Thompson, husband, George Brooks; three loving children, Jontae Proctor, Zaevon Chase and Savannah Payton Lynn Brooks; four sisters, Pamela Key, Shirley Thompson, Queen Champion and Robin (Proctor) Bowman, nine nieces and two nephews, two brother in-laws, Michael Key Sr and Maurice Bowman. Lisa also leaves behind a great nephew and a great niece with a host aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Visitation, 11:00 am until time of Service, 12 noon on Thursday, August 11, 2011 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland.
