LeVurn Ervine (Corporal) Custis, 85 of Waldorf, Maryland, formerly of Pisgah, Maryland.

LeVurn Ervine Corporal was born Wednesday, September 12, 1934 to Geneva and Andrew Corporal in Sykesville, Maryland.  She was lovingly called by her nickname "Tiny".  She grew up in and attended Carroll County Public Schools.  On December 17, 1950, she married Reverend Harvey R. Custis.  Through their marriage union, they had three beautiful children: Harvey, Jr., Steve and Yolanda.  They were married 49 years until Reverend Custis, Sr. transitioned to eternal life.  She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and most of all woman of God.

LeVurn was a woman who lived and loved life.  She had a heart of Gold!  She loved wearing high heel shoes, watching a variety of game shows, such as: The Price is Right, Let's Make a Deal, Wheel of Fortune, and the Family Feud.  She thoroughly enjoyed drinking coffee, getting her hair done, wearing stylist clothes, working crossword puzzles, watching her grandkids, spending time with family, and being the family comedian at all gatherings.

She proudly served as First Lady beside her husband, Reverend Custis, at Libertytown Charge, Poolesville Charge (Elijiah/Sugarland), Pisgah Charge (Smith Chapel, Alexandria, Emory) and Bethesda United Methodist Church. She ministered through playing the piano by ear, singing and as choir director. Her musically inclined gifts from God for his Glory.  LeVurn was a hardworking lady who often shared stories of her experiences working in the cafeteria at Gale Bailey Elementary School, Rite Aid Warehouse and State Cleaners.

Levurn Ervine Custis peacefully departed this life and transitioned into her heavenly home, Monday, December 30, 2019 at the age of 85.  She earned her wings into the beautiful gates of heaven with her loving husband, parents and a host of siblings, relatives, and friends.

She will be deeply missed and cherished with loving memories by her three children and in-laws, Harvey Jr. (Vicki), Steve (Brenda) and Yolanda (Michael); nine grandchildren: EnRico, Nakia, Victor (Karen), Latoya (Nate), Raymond (Lisa), Stephanie (Arthur), Ebony (Bryan), Steven (Kayla) and Michael; 23 great and great great grandchildren and expecting two more in May/June 2020; three siblings and in-laws, Dorothy Barnes, Rose Jackson (James) and Mary Butler.  She will also be missed by a host of relatives, friends and church family.
