Leroy Thomas Bowman, Jr., was born on February 5, 1956, in Bethesda, MD; to the Late Leroy Thomas Bowman, Sr., and Annette Sylvia (Baker) Bowman. He departed this life on May 21, 2017 at the Fort Washington Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Fort Washington, MD. Leroy accepted Christ, at a very young age, at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in La Plata, Maryland.
He was educated in the Charles County Public School System.
He began his career as a journeyman cement finisher under the supervision of the late Lawrence "Tiger" Brown and the late Richard Washington. As a result of his hard work and perseverance, he mastered his trade and became a "master cement finisher". In his later years, he was self-employed until his health began to fail.
Mutton had a love for cars. One of his favorites was his white "GTO". He enjoyed playing card games and grilling. He was often referred to as "The Grill Master". Also, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. But, most of all, the love he had for his Mother was unconditional.
