JONES, LEO (Age 86) of La Plata, Maryland.

OBITUARY

Peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2012, Leo Jones passed from this earthly life to life eternal at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland, after a brief illness.

He was the loving husband of the late Catherine Wills Jones. Leo was born on May 15, 1926 in Charles County, Maryland and was the son of the late Mary and the late Clinton Jones.

Leo was a lifelong resident of Charles County, Maryland and attended Charles County public schools. He was employed and retired from the State Highway Administration. Leo enjoyed playing pool and dancing.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his only son, Christopher C. Jones ; stepson, Johnny Dyson; sister, Helen Jones; brothers, James, Joseph and Charles Jones; and brother-in-law, Joseph Lee.

Left to cherish fond memories are his daughters, Doris Pearson and Bonita Jones; daughter- in-law, Sharon Carkhuff; grandson, Brian Pearson; step children, Charles Wills (Margaret), Matt Wills (Rosita), Robert Wills, Catherine Wills, Audrey Wills, Monica Wills, Mary Wallace (LeRoy), Helen Washington, Jean Stewart (Joseph) and Beverly Chisley (James); sisters, Catherine Jones, Margaret Jones and Anna Lee; brothers, George Jones (Liz), and Raymond Jones (Grace). Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Edna Jones and Ella Mae Jones, a host of nieces, nephews , other relatives, friends and a very special friend and companion, Mary Delores Wills.

Viewing, 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30am on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland. Interment, Church Cemetery.
