WOOD, LAWRENCE LORENZO "RANDY" (AGE 68) OF CLINTON, MD

LAWRENCE LORENZO WOOD, affectionately known to many as "Randy," was born in Emporia, Virginia to John Mark Wood and Virginia Mae Wood on January 3, 1947. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.

He was educated in the Greensville County, Virginia public school system. At an early age, he was baptized and joined Oak Grove Baptist Church.

After the death of his mother, Lawrence was adopted by Anise Clark, affectionately known as "Ann Anise", of Washington, D.C. He was educated in the District of Columbia Public Schools. He attended McKinley Tech High School and served in the ROTC Program. After graduation he joined the United States Army and served four years. In 1969, he was united in marriage to Diane Stultz. From this union, two sons were born, the oldest Donovan and the youngest Damien.

After serving his time in the United States Army, he joined the Xerox Cooperation where he served as a Xerox Service Manager. He retired after 36 years and was blessed to work as a Carpenter in which he enjoyed. He would always get the job done and admire his handiwork. He was a devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Temple Hills, MD and served as the Chairman of the Usher Board and was later given the job of Trustee.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, 2 sons, Donovan (Kimberly) and Damien (Tanisha); nine grandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Patrick, Brandyn, DeShawn, Christian, Shane, Kameron, Kaden and Trinity; three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Mark-Anthony, and Kia; two sisters, Eloyce and Constance; one brother James (Dorothy); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

His viewing will be held from 9:00am until time of service 11:00am on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2200 Iverson Street, Temple Hills, MD 20748. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD 20735.
