IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Latasha Nicole
Fox
September 28, 1983 – November 19, 2024
LaTasha Nicole Fox, 41 of Capitol Heights, Maryland.
LaTasha Nicole Fox, affectionately known as "Tasha", was born September 28, 1983, in Washington DC, to Darren A. Fox and Sharon D. Fox. She was the oldest child who adored her younger brothers, Darren Jr. "Peanut" and Rickey. She attended D.C. Public Schools, graduating in 2002 from Theodore Roosevelt High School. Tasha's greatest achievement in life was the birth of her daughter, Jazmine I. Fox "Jazzie" whom she loved very much. She would brag and gloat about her, every chance she got. The three amigos, Tasha, Sharon and Jazzie were always together doing everything, and I mean everything. She was a faithful Christian who knew the Lord. Her spirit will continue to grace the lives of many.
After graduating from high school, Tasha entered the workforce with Metro Access (2002-2005), Macy's Department Store (2005-2006), and her favorite and final job for 16 years, since 2008 until her illness prevented her from working any further was as a Receptionist with the Office of the United States Attorney – Department of Justice in Washington, DC. Tasha loved her job and always conducted herself in a professional manner, greeting everyone with a big smile and kind words. She and some officers received an accommodation letter, for preventing a person from entering into the building impersonating a judge, who needed to file some paperwork within an office. After further review, the person was arrested. She was well known by everyone in the building.
Tasha was a quiet person, who enjoyed the simpler things in life. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals, sharing them with everyone and making strong "foxy" cocktails that hit the spot. She loved listening to all types of music, dancing her heart out, singing, having game night with her brothers, talking and joking every day on the phone with her cousin, Little Tony and Peanut for hours. Tasha enjoyed watching scary movies and writing short stories about life. She was very gifted and talented, she could "bling" out a pair of tennis shoes, T-shirt, or liquor bottle in rhinestones, pearls, diamonds or any other stone. She was a party event planner with her mother, decorating any party theme you desired. She could do hair in any style or color (and Jazzie was her number one client who has had every color of the rainbow). She loved to travel and would plan a trip around her birthday with her friends and family and of course the trip in her opinion was "lit" so much fun. She was a make-up artist and was extremely photogenic, taking pictures all the time. Tasha could make you laugh until you cried. She was truly one of kind and left a lasting impression on every person she met.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Tasha quietly transitioned into eternity, while at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, in Fairfax VA. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She fought a courageous heart battle but ultimately succumbed. In her transitioning Tasha elected to be placed on the donor list and after she transitioned her eyes were given as sight to two individuals. Her personality was awesome.
Tasha was preceded in death by her children, Justice and the twins, Jahmir and Jahmari; grandparents, William and Helena Fultz and William and Sylvia Fox and cousins, Randall and Ashley.
Tasha leaves to cherish wonderful memories with her, daughter, Jazmine; parents, Darren and Sharon, brothers, Darren Jr. (Takitta) and Rickey (Shannon); nephews, Nathaniel and Cameron; niece, MacKenzie; the love of her life, James; godchildren, Laelah, Achaia, Paisley and Payton, uncles, Anthony (Joyce - her godmother), Lawrence (Veronica) and Terrence; aunts, Debra (Jackie), Stephanie, Lynise (Robert) and Crystal; two great aunts, Daisy and Naomi; cousins, Debbie J., Anthony II (Taylor), Eric, Maxwell, Taylen, Knicole (Don), Jada, Lawrence Jr., Jeremiah, Ayana, Akili, Sean, Terrence Jr. and Taron; best girlfriends since kindergarten, Kellee, Arica and Angie and a host of cousins, other relatives, close neighbors and friends.
Tasha will always be missed in the physical world but know that she will always be there to watch over the family and friends in the spiritual world.
