Our beloved "JJ," as he was more affectionately called, transitioned to eternal life. He was the son of the late Herman and Isabella Johnson and was born, February 8, 1950 in Washington, D.C.
Larry attended Prince Georges County Public Schools. He later became an employee of the Prince Georges County Board of Education where he retired after 27 years of service due to illness. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Fort Washington, Maryland.
He met Carolyn in 1967 while playing in JM's Band and on May 18, 1974 made her his bride.
In addition to his musical talent, which was an accomplishment he was most proud of, JJ enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, grilling, art and antique cars. He was also an avid "Dallas Cowboys" fan. One of his most loveable traits was that he would never say "NO" to anyone who asked anything of him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Preston E. Johnson.
