Lamont Glen Bland was born Saturday, March 31, 1962, in Washington, D.C. to Charles Owen Bland, Jr.
and the late Conchita Alice (Thompson) Bland.

Monty, as he was more affectionately called, grew up in Bryans Road, Maryland and attended Charles
County Public Schools, graduating from Lackey High School in June 1980. After graduating he worked
various jobs until he found employment with Beretta USA and remained with Beretta until he was no
longer physically able to continue working.

Monty's hobby was playing basketball. He played on the Lackey Charger basketball team and played
basketball with his friends and family in the neighborhood.

Suddenly on Saturday, December 31, 2022, Monty transitioned to eternal life at the St. Mary's Nursing
Center in Leonardtown, Maryland.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories, his father, Deacon Charles O. Bland, Jr., brother, Cornelius
Bland, sisters, Renee' Bland Lindsay and Rita Bland White. Also surviving are two nieces, Isis and India
White, one nephew, Aaron Samuels; great nieces and nephews, great aunt, Alice Eudora Chisley and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 10:00 a.m., until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735.
