Lacy John Brown, age 72, of Fort Washington, Maryland

Lacy Brown was born on November 25, 1951, to the late Lacy and Margaret Brown in Washington, DC.  He fought a good fight and was called home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2024.

Lacy was educated in the District of Columbia Public Schools System.  In 1979 he was employed at the George Washington University Physical Plants Department as an HVAC Mechanic.  He retired in December 2010, after 30 years of loyal service.

He joined Fort Foote Baptist Church in 1997 and faithfully served the Lord for over 27 years.  He served on the Senior Usher Board, the Men's Chorus, and the Food Pantry.  As an employee, he worked on the Security team and in Facilities.  He truly loved his church and would do anything for anyone that needed help.

On October 16, 1985, he married the love of his life, Barbara Brown, and to that union, they were blessed with two sons, Jerome Hickman and Brandon Brown.  In 2003, they adopted two daughters, Rarkia and Jasmine Brown.  Lacy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He leaves to cherish beautiful memories, his wife, Barbara Brown; sons, Jerome Hickman and Brandon Brown (Ashli); daughters, Rarkia and Jasmine Brown; five grandchildren, Annalyn, Dash, Solar, Solstice, and Rajeem; siblings, Venus Rhodes and Gerald Brown; in-laws, Allen Hickman (Mamie), Joseph Hickman (Marie), Frank Hickman (Toni), Virginia Shepherd, Corrine Hickman, Blanche Hickman, and James Hickman and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

His Viewing will be 10:00 am, until time of Service, 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Fort Foote Baptist Church, 8310 Fort Foote Road, Fort Washington, Maryland 20744.
