Ky-Mari Monte' Bowman

Ky-Mari Monte’ Bowman earned his wings unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.  

Affectionately known as “Mari,” he was born to Shonte’ Thomas and Elvis Bowman. The youngest of three children and the only son.

Ky-Mari was educated in the Prince George’s and Charles County Public School Systems. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as a young adult and was baptized on February 9, 2025, at Salvation Ministries in Brandywine, Maryland.

Ky-Mari was known for his infectious smile, warm spirit, and magnetic personality. His laughter could light up any room. He loved deeply, especially his family and friends, and shared a special bond with his parents and his two sisters, Kanise and Ka’Shaun. He also cherished close friendships with Jaiden, Da’Veon, and Donnovan, whom he considered his brothers.

Preceded in death by his first cousin, Kamryn Janifer, Ky-Mari leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Shonte’ Thomas and Elvis Bowman; his sisters, Kanise and Ka’Shaun Bowman; his grandparents; great-grandparents; aunts; uncles; godparents; and a host of devoted family and friends.

Friends may visit with the family Monday, February 16th from 10 am until time of service 11 am at Way of The Cross Church of Christ 1800 Hazelwood Dr, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. Interment immediately to follow at Heritage Memorial Cemetery Waldorf, MD.
