Obituary

WALKER, KIMBERLY "KIM" VERONICA (AGE 44) OF WALDORF, MARYLAND

Kimberly Veronica Jamieson was the miracle baby of Charles Bernard and Marlene Lytisha Jamieson, born October 12, 1976 in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was a beautiful, bright-eyed baby, whose large brown eyes expressed it all – "Look out everybody, I'm here and I'm going to make a big difference in this world."

Kim, as she was more affectionately called, was a whole month late, but she was definitely worth the wait. From the very beginning, she was our precious drama queen. Marlene called her that because Kim was so special. When she was little, she defied logic by running away from Santa Claus and all life-sized cartoon characters. Kim was always a little eccentric… a little bossy… and she had a whole lot of determination.

Kim attended Archbishop Neal Elementary and Middle School in La Plata, Maryland and graduated from McDonough High School in Pomfret, Maryland. After graduating high school, Kim matriculated at Alvernia College in Reading, Pennsylvania where she graduated cum laude, with two Bachelors of Arts degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, respectively.

She excelled in school and in nearly everything else she tackled.  She cared about higher education and becoming successful in life.  Kim was a prominent and an absolute amazing accounting student.  Those numbers just came to her instantly.

After working a few years with a local bank in La Plata, Kim transitioned to Wells Fargo Bank in McLean, Virginia where she became the Vice President of Finance.  Unfortunately, Kim's health necessitated an early retirement.  Not deterred by her health challenges, Kim continued to pursue higher education and received not only one but two Master's Degrees.

In 2006, Kim met and fell in love with Antonio "Tony" Walker.  They married in a fabulous destination wedding off the Gulf of Mexico, on the powder white sands of Clearwater Beach, FL. They later celebrated their union with a second ceremony in Maryland where other family and friends could join in.  Both weddings were utterly beautiful… just the way she wanted them.  After two years of marital bliss, Kim gave birth to a set of twins, Adrianna and Asa.  This was consistent with her father's family as he was a twin.  Asa and Adriana were answers to Kim's prayers.  She adored her children and longed to be more active in their lives despite her physical limitations.

Kim was a loyal friend and beyond a doubt, the best daughter, wife and mother anyone could ask for. Even though she was dealing with her own health challenges, Kim was always there to take her father to his medical appointments and to go on gambling jaunts with her mother.

Tony and Kim shared a wonderful life traveling and spending time with family.  Kim's parents, Marlene and "Bernard" were an integral part of their life.  Although Kim loved her mom, the world could see she was a daddy's girl.  She and Bernard were best friends and his transition to glory on February 8, 2020, shattered her heart.

Prior to her joining Shabach Evangelistic Ministries, Kim was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pomfret, Maryland where she received all of her sacraments.

Desiring a closer relationship with the Lord, Kim joined Shabach Evangelistic Ministries in Waldorf, Maryland where she was a minister in training for ordination and also worked in the Children's Ministry.  As with all things, Kim was dedicated to her church and was devoted to her Lord and Savior. She took her relationship with the Lord as seriously as that with her husband.

Anyone who knows Kim knows that she was an angel sent from GOD.  She made the best out of every situation, never giving way to negativity.  Her spirit was infectious, and she found the good in everyone.

In short, Kim made a huge difference, not only in the lives of her family and friends, but in the lives of everyone whose path she crossed on this earthly journey.

On December 20, 2020, the birthday of her paternal and maternal grandmothers, Kimberly Veronica Walker transitioned to eternal life where she joins her dad, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

All of us whom she leaves behind will forever cherish and miss Kim and all that she brought to us in her brief 44 years.
