IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin B.
Clagett
August 22, 1960 – December 22, 2022
Kevin B. Clagett, 62, of La Plata, Maryland
Kevin B. Clagett was born August 22, 1960 to Charles Clagett and Barbara Washington in Cheverly, Maryland. Kevin received his education in the Charles County public school system and later went to CDS Drivers Training Academy to complete Commercial Driving Training. In Kevin's early childhood, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and later became a member of Mt. Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland. In 1993 he married Karla King and from that union his one and only daughter Brianna was born. Kevin transitioned from this life on December 22nd and gained his wings to be with the lord. He was proceeded in death by his step father the late Bernard Washington, brother Thomas Washington and Grandparents George Ransome and Madeline Ransome.
Kevin maintained employment as a mechanic in Arlington, Virginia for many years and was recently employed at Charles County Public Schools. His huge heart and loving spirit allowed him to impact many lives. He was known as "the cool guy". Kevin loved his family. He enjoyed family events, celebrations and relaxing with a cold beer while watching sports. Kevin was a sports fanatic and proud fan of the Washington Commanders. He was always rocking his burgundy and gold. He also enjoyed watching baseball especially the Baltimore Orioles. Kevin enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, going on road trips and hunting. It was normal for him to go into the woods to catch a deer or to see him at the MGM having a ball. Kevin loved his cars! Among his other hobbies he enjoyed collecting cars and working on them. Kevin always had a huge smile on his face. It didn't take much to make him laugh and he told plenty of jokes to make everyone smile. His smile and laugh was definitely unique and only fit him.
Kevin is genuinely loved by so many and will truly be missed. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his one and only child Brianna Sharp (Torri). His mother Barbara Washington (Bernard, Deceased). Fiancée Diane Hamilton. Sisters, Thomasine Washington, Alaina Thompson (Harry), Jeannean Hodge (Michael) and Jacqueline Jefferson (Nicholas). Nieces, Tiffany Marburg, Thomasina Edwards (Parham), Terrenda Washington, Trisha Washington, Monica Thompson, Melissa Thompson, Nakeisha Williams (Robert) and Delcina McNeely (James). Nephew Harry "BJ" Thompson Jr. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family and friends.
