OBITUARY

A native Washingtonian, Kenette was born January 26, 1971 to Andrew Ludd (deceased) and Earleen Ludd. Active in her community, she served for many years as a Girl Scout, earning Senior Girl Scout honor. She graduated from the Prince Georges Public Schools System.

An extremely talented individual, Kenette was an expert in many areas, but loved hosting family and friends, cooking, dancing, and was a master carpenter and do-it-yourselfer. Each time you visited her home there was something slightly different and for many of us, the game was to determine what had changed! Target and Home Depot were her favorite stores.

Throughout her work history, she worked various positions, including her first dream - being a licensed cosmetologist. She also worked for the Postal Service, Giant Foods, and Primary Mortgage Co. At the time of her untimely death, she was an agent at Nationwide Insurance Co.

In fulfillment of her second dream, in September 2000, she wed Lonnie (Toby) Zeigler III and to this union one child, Aisha Monique, was born.

Kenette accepted the Lord and was baptized at the Seat Pleasant Baptist Church. After moving to Bryans Road, MD, she joined Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Franklin Merritt and became one of the Dance Instructors for the Praise Team as well as a dancer.

On July 19th, with no warning, she received her wings and flew to eternal rest.

She is survived by her best friend and devoted husband Lonnie; her daughter Aisha; her stepdaughter Jasmine; her mother Earleen Ludd; her sister Linda (Myron) Sumpter; her in-laws Lonnie Jr. and Cynthia Zeigler; her sister-in-law Dana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Her Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 11am until time of Service 12 noon at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 2645 Marshall Hall Road, Bryans Road, Maryland 20616. Interment Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland.
