Mcgirt, Sr.
July 28, 1959 – June 20, 2020
Keith Wayne McGirt, Sr., 60 of La Plata, Maryland.
Celebration of Life
The everlasting spirit of Keith W. McGirt Sr., also known as "Cowboy", was a believer of The Most High Yah and his Messiah Yahusha. He believed in the laws, statues, and commandments of The Most High. He befriended Leo Minus, John Pickerel, Rob Byrd, Dave Thomas, Chuck White, and Milton Quick. Keith enjoyed a variety music stemming from WAR, Isley Brothers, Maxwell, Gerald Levert, Stevie Wonder, Peabo Byson, to Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, and Nelly. Keith was known as a powerful singer. As a member of the Prince Hall Masons, Keith was an active member at the illustrious DORIC Lodge #19 in Washington, DC. He was a dedicated bus driver for Charles County and Prince George's County where he did more than just drive buses. He also hosted end of the year cookouts for his riders on his routes and sing holiday songs with children during their holiday winter concerts. His favorite pastime activities involved hunting and fishing while embracing the great outdoors, as well as watching the Star War Movie & series with his son and grandson. He rode bikes with his daughter for miles at a time to spend some bonding time with her. Keith embraced family gatherings and lifting up people by taking what makes them different and bringing that trait to life. A dedicated leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, Keith managed some of DC's top Hotel's, managed an Auto Recycling business he renamed "Big Carolina", and started a mobile barbecue business called "It's Damn Good Barbecue" that fed over 5000 people in DC for local masonic events. Keith was a strong-willed individual with consciousness about a plethora of world knowledge. He would challenge others to learn the facts that he would converse about. He loved the fact that he knew what was the speed of light in MPH. It's ironic because the day his passed at night there was a shooting star that shot over the house eastward in the sky at 'The Speed of Light".
