KATINA PRETORIA THOMAS-FARMER, 48, OF POMFRET, MARYLAND

Katina Pretoria Thomas-Farmer, also fondly known as "Tina" was called home to be with the Lord, our Savior, on February 26, 2022.

Katina was born on May 9, 1973 in Washington, DC to Agnes Short and Timothy Thomas. She joined Zion Baptist Church at an early age. As a child she attended Charles County Public Schools and graduated from McDonough High School. Katina was employed at USDA as a Correspondent Clerk until she retired in 2019 because of her health. Whenever you saw Katina she would always have a smile on her face.

Katina, married the love of her life, James Farmer on December 16, 2016.

She enjoyed shopping, hanging out at the Casino with her aunties and playing cards, especially deuces!

Katina is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Helen Short and Adrian Short, and a stepdaughter Laquasia Watson.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband James Farmer, mother Agnes Short, father Timothy Thomas, mother-in-law Agnes King, father-in-law Allen Farmer, stepdaughter Jiteasha Owens, step grandson Ja'Karee Robinson, two goddaughters, Tamara Washington and Kamiyah Wills, aunts Thelma Riley, Joyce, Joann, Deborah, and Denise Short, Barbara Covington, Helen Miles, Inez Campbell, Virginia Johnson, Doris Pearson, Doriscine King, Dorothy Butler (Roger), Catherine "Yvonne" King and Donna King. She also leaves to cherish her memories uncles Thomas Short (Joyce), Clarence Short, Anthony Thomas, Tyrone King, Dale King, Charles King and, Tony King and a special cousin Twann "TJ" Riley who was like a brother to her and a host of cousins and friends.
