June Mureen (Campbell) Jackson, 72 of Lanham, Maryland.

On June 10, 1949, Cleophus Jordan and Blanche L. Campbell, gave birth to June M. Jackson at Freeman Hospital, Washington, DC.  June attended Kramer Elementary school in Washington, DC for primary school and Pomonkey Jr.  and Senior High School in Charles County Maryland.  June did return to Washington, DC public schools where she attended Anacostia High School.

In 1967, June married Gregory Jackson and was a loving mother of four, Wanda Holmes, Anthony (Tata) Jackson (deceased), Gean (Sean) Jackson (Alexis) and Nacera (Nikki) Edwards (Michael).

June was a faithful Christian and was christened at Christ Episcopal Church in Prince George's County.  She was baptized at Purity Baptist Church in Washington, DC.  June was a beloved member of Good Shepard Baptist Church where she was ordained as a Deaconess in April of 2014.  June also had a long career where she worked at Costco Wholesale for 34 years and retired in August 2021.

Sister Jackson leaves to cherish her memory her children, Wanda, Gean and Nacera, grandchildren, Keatrena, Nadira, Maurisha, Shirlante, Sade, Brittany, Omarr, Anthony, Ronald, III and Michael, Jr., a host of great grandchildren, aunts, Estelle and Mary-Ann, uncles, Van Dyke, Connie and Earl, niece Charlita and nephew, Tony, godchild, Marquita and longtime friend, June Brown and a lot of other friends.

Viewing, 10:00 a.m. until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, Washington National Cemetery, 4101 Suitland Road, Hillcrest Heights /Suitland, Maryland 20746.
