Thompson, Juanita Teresa (Age 62) of Lexington Park, Maryland.

Juanita Teresa Proctor Thompson, more affectionately known to family and friends as "Weesie, " was born to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Proctor on April 5, 1951 in Mitchellville, Maryland. Juanita peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the St. Mary's Med Star Hospice House in Callaway, Maryland.

She was educated in the Prince Georges County School System. On September 3, 1967, she was united in marriage to the late William Thompson and from that blessed union she gave birth to her first two daughters, Pamela and Shirley. During the following years, three more daughters were born, Queen Champion, Robin Proctor and Lisa Proctor. She loved and adored all five of her daughters.

Juanita resided in St. Mary's County for the past eight years. She joined Restoration Free Gospel Church in Lexington Park, where she was a faithful member. She helped raise most of her grandchildren and loved every minute of it. To the fullest extent, she enjoyed her family and friends being around her and no one was ever turned away. One of her favorite past times was playing cards. Juanita always loved to get a crowd together to play cards.

In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her daughters, Lisa Proctor Brooks and Robin Proctor Bowman, sister, Carrie Hoe, brothers, John, James, Sterling and Michael Proctor .

Left to cherish loving memories are her daughters, Pamela Key, Shirley Thompson and Queen Champion; sons-in-law, Michael Key, Sr., George Brooks and Maurice Bowman, Sr.; fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Proctor; sisters, Mary Kay Thompson and Corrina Thompson, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Viewing, 10am until time of Service, 11am, Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland.
