Joseph "Red" Lawrence Adams, 70, of Waldorf, Maryland.
Red's Story
On the morning of September 24, 2021, Joseph 'Red' Adams transitioned to eternal life. Red was born on March 25, 1951 in Port Tobacco, MD to Catherine Lillian and James Harding Adams.
Red was educated through the Charles County Public School System and graduated in 1969. He met his future wife, Wanda (Wilson) at a basketball game and was married on August 26, 1972. Out of their union, they had two beautiful daughters, Kimbalee and Karen, and a beautiful granddaughter, Skyler. He was so proud of his lovely family and worked so hard in providing for them.
Red was indeed a family man. He loved going on trips and loved his family outings. We would ride and have James Brown's music blasting loud. Red enjoyed watching many sports from football, basketball, golf (yes golf) to Nascar Racing. Red loved his Washington Football Team. He was very competitive and had many hobbies like going fishing, going to casinos, shooting pool, hunting, bowling and working on his dump trucks.
Anyone who knew Red, knew he loved going to the track watching cars and motorcycle racing. Red was very passionate about having the fastest bike around and had no problem letting others know.
Red worked as a dump truck driver for many years and later became a successful business owner of A&W Trucking.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James Ernest 'Harding' and Catherine Lillian 'Lynn' Adams; sister, JoAnn; brothers, Georgie, Dickie and Warren Adams; nephews, Terry and Kirby Adams; son-in-law, Bernard Winchester III, sister-in-law, Peggy (Wilson) Soloman and father-in-law, William Losto Wilson.
In addition to his loving wife, Wanda, also left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kimbalee and Karen Adams (Carlos); granddaughter, Skyler Adams; brothers, John 'JC' (Cherry) and David 'Tom' Adams; sisters, Catherine 'Romaine' and Mary Adams; mother-in-law, Deloris Wilson; sisters-in-law, Helen, Charlene, Lupia (Allen), Shelia (Roy) and Lisa (Jeffrey); brothers-in-law, Barry (Danita), Packey (Arletta) and Mark (Ellen). Red also leaves to cherish his memory a host of many nieces, nephews, friends, relatives, and his longtime buddies, Jeffery Bransome and Billy Vose. A Special thank you to a dear friend, Bernard who comforted him until the very end.
