IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Bobo,
Jr.
April 4, 1957 – November 18, 2022
Joseph Bobo, Jr. 65 of Indian Head, Maryland.
Obituary
On April 4, 1957, in Washington, DC, God blessed the late Joseph and Evelyn BoBo with their second son "Joseph Jr.". On Thursday, November 18, 2022, God called him home to eternal rest.
Joseph received his education in the Washington DC and Charles County Maryland public school systems. He was a star soccer player at Lackey High School during the early 70's where he was given the nickname "Pele" (who was one of the greatest soccer players of all times). Upon completing high school, he gained employment as a Federal Contractor with various Government Agencies where he was a Skilled painter and carpenter and provided Excellent Professional Service.
Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and helping the elderly. His favorite hobby was fishing and crabbing. He had a huge arsenal of rod and reels that was sought after by many. Every chance he got he would hitch up his boat and take to the seas for a relaxing day on the waters and fed many families with his catch of the day.
He also enjoyed talking on his CB radio, his handle was "Midnight Waters 1." He had an extraordinary Home Base Station as well as a powerful unit in his car. He would key up his mic and speak to people all over the world (even prior to the internet). When he drove through the neighborhood we could hear him through our TV and radio saying "Breaker Breaker 19 Midnight Waters" what's your 20.
Everyone who came in contact with Joseph found him to be a very kind and loving individual who found it not robbery to help anyone. He loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews and loved them unconditionally.
Joseph leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Diane Bobo; two sons Joseph Meade and William Meade; one daughter Diane Linnenkamp; grandson Michael Linnenkamp; two sisters Shelia Yates of Waldorf, MD and Katrina Adams (Barry) of Waldorf, Maryland; one brother Bobby Bobo (Linda) of Silver Spring, MD; three uncles James Bobo of Washington, DC, Robert Chambers of Washington, DC and Lorenzo White of Harrisburg, PA and a host of family and friends.
