Obituary

THROWER, JOHNNY IV (AGE 25) OF LAPLATA, MD

Johnny (Fatman) Thrower IV was born December 11, 1987 in Cleveland, Ohio. The first born to Johnny (JT) Thrower III and Felisa A. Foster.

Johnny graduated from Westlake High School in 2006 in Waldorf, MD where he excelled in JROTC for four years. He went to the College of Southern Maryland for one year then transferred to Allegany College in 2008. He later went on to serve his country when he entered in the US Navy in November 2010. Johnny was an OS3 (Operations Specialist) in the United States Navy before his untimely death.

He was a wonderfully warm and gentle man. Soft-spoken, but hard-focused on where he wanted to be in life. Johnny experienced life's trials and tribulations being so far away from his family and friends, but deep down, he knew exactly what he wanted and where he wanted to be. His main focus was taking care of his family. The most memorable thing about Johnny was he enjoyed playing video games with his friends, watching TV, and just being an "all around" good guy. You could always count on him when you needed a laugh on a bad day.

He married Ebony Lewis on February 11, 2011. With this union, they had a daughter, Jaelyn Essence, whom he responsibly cared for over the years away and will continue doing so moving forward. He was indeed our hero and will be remembered as such in the eyes of his seed, Jaelyn. His special personality, warm smile, and kind heart will remain forever a part of our lives as we move on without him physically present and his spirit will always be in our heart and mind.

Johnny is preceded in death by his grandparents Doris Coleman and Johnny Thrower, Jr. and brother, Eric Thrower.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Ebony; daughter, Jaelyn; mother, Lisa Foster (Curtis Lewis); stepfather, Anthony Foster; father, Johnny Thrower III; stepmother, Rhona Thrower; in-laws, Charles H. Lewis Sr. (Lavon Payne), Joeann Lewis, sister-in-law, Renee L. Lewis and brother-in-law, Charles H. Lewis Jr.; grandparents, Frank Coleman (Lucy Coleman), and Gwendolyn Thrower; siblings, Alisa Thrower, Stephanie, Keona and Eren, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

His viewing will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 22th until Services 12:00noon in the Chapel of THORNTON FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
