John Theodore Swann (Age 88) of LaPlata, Maryland.

John Theodore Swann was born to the late William Alex Swann, Sr., and Sarah (Sally) Ann Swann on February 7, 1934.

On February 20, 1954, Theodore married the love of this life, Elizabeth Pearl.  From this union, they had 9 children: John Louis, Mary Anita, John David, Mary Cynthia (Darby), Tess Rena (Herbert), Pattsie Ann (Leroy), Anthony Ricardo (Annette), James Beradino and Keith Lynn.

Theodore retired from the U.S. Department of Interior as a Master Carpenter after over 30 years of devoted service.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching westerns and being with his family.  He also enjoyed tending to his garden and his daily walks.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, all of his sisters and brothers, Mary Viola, Elizabeth Bernice, Myrtle Regina, Catherine Geneva, William Leroy, Joseph Lindbergh, John Richard and William Alex, Jr., his son, John Louis, daughter, Mary Anita and grandson, John Carvel.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pearl, of 68 years, 7 children, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

His viewing will be held from 9:30am until 10:30am on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in the St. Joseph Church Parish Center, Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pomfret, Maryland.  Interment Church Cemetery.
