John Frank Lee (Age 72) of Nanjemoy, Maryland.

OBITUARY

John Frank Lee known to many as "Frankie", at the age of 72 departed his earthly life peacefully after a long battle of illnesses, on Monday September 18, 2017 at Medstar Washington Hospital Center surrounded by his loving family.  Frankie was born on November 29, 1944 in Putnam County, GA to the late Ella Mae (Lee) Tutt.  Frankie attended the Charles County public schools until he entered the work force as a construction labor.  Frankie was an avid Washington Redskins fan.  He also had a passion for historic and street rod cars so much so that he was an active member of the Bad Boyz Street Rod Club until his health started to decline.  During his spare time Frankie enjoyed watching The Young and The Restless and Let's Make A Deal.  He loved his children and grandchildren and was so proud of each and every one of them.  He never made a decision without consulting them first.

Frankie a loving, kind-hearted man is survived by his wife, Mary; six children, Mardella, Lashan, Deidre (John), Calvin (Belinda), Christina (Tony), and Sharmane (Robert); twelve grandchildren, Tyranda (Claude), Ashley, Matthew, Antonio (Dasheria), Rashad, Chanel, Mon'tre, Dayshia, Javon, Cedria, Cekiyah, and Robert III; six great grandchildren, Christien, Destiny, Noah, Jasmine, Ja'Khari, and Harmony; one god child, Malik Jackson; one brother, Henry B Linton (Peggy); two sisters, Addie Brinkley and Mary Ann Tutt; mother-in-law, Sarah Proctor; one brother-in-law, David Proctor, Sr. (Joyce); four sisters-in-law, Hazel Short (Harold), Betty Thompson (Carlos), Denise Carter (Marty), and Shawnta Lee; special friends, David Proctor, Sr. and Bobby Lee and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Frankie was predeceased by his son, Frank Lionel Lee; mother, Ella Mae Tutt; brother, Jimmy Lee; sister, Minnie Mae Harris, and brother-in-law, James Proctor.

Viewing, 10:00 a.m. until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13401 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
