John Cecil Ford, 61 departed this life on August 24, 2016 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, Maryland.
Cecil was born on October 16, 1954 in Charles County Maryland, to the late Leo and Viola Ford. He was the baby boy of twelve siblings. Cecil was educated in Charles County Public Schools.
Cecil loved to attend Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior . While at Pleasant Grove he was a member of the Unified Male Chorus.
His favorite hobbies were hunting, pitching horseshoes, telling jokes, and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He loved family gatherings. Cecil was a very kind, gentle, caring, loving spirited person.
He was employed at various construction companies in the Charles County area and also enjoyed working with his brother Deacon Francis Ford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Leo and Viola Mary Ford; brothers, George Leo Jr. and John Louis Ford, Sr.; sisters, Rosa Lee Proctor and Mary Helen Thompson; two brothers-in-law, James Alton Proctor and James Thompson; one sister-in-law, Joyce Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory: six children, three daughters, Shawniece, Sherrice, LaKeshia; three sons, Kevin, Javonte, Deangelo, eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Deacon Francis Ford (Dorothy), Eugene Johnson and Walter Brown; five sisters, Shirley Ford, Dorothy Watts (Ray), Beulah Ford, Gladys Evans and Pauline Mason (Ronnie); sister-in-law, Diane Ford and a host of other relatives and friends.
