Joan Marlene Proctor (Molly) was born December 1st ,1951, in Washington D.C. to Mary Violet Proctor and George Thomas Proctor. Joan Marlene Proctor (Molly) married Joseph "Vest" Proctor on May 3, 1969. She dedicated her life to her family, and she enjoyed having good times and laughs with family and friends. She peacefully transitioned, Wednesday June 28, 2023, in her home under hospice care.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Proctor, mother Mary Violet Proctor, father George Thomas Proctor, one sister Josephine " Sally" Butler, and five brothers Mott, Philip, Johnny, Welvin and Leo.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children Robert Proctor (Terri), Shawn Proctor (Donna) and Tosha Savoy (Brian), five grandchildren Devaun Savoy (Corrin), Tiara Proctor, Brianna Savoy, Tia Proctor and Matthew Troxler. Five great-grandchildren, Kaiya Savoy, Kameron Johnson, Ka'mari Johnson, Jaylen Savoy, and Je'vaun Savoy. Three sisters Bernice Savoy, Frances Marylee Proctor, Ann Savoy, four sisters-in-law Rose Proctor, Delores Proctor, Lucille Proctor, and Geraldine Curtis, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Viewing, 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 10, 2023, until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735.
