IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jasen Terrance
Swann
July 20, 1955 – May 14, 2019
Jasen Terrance Swann (Age 63) of Manasses, Virginia.
On July 20, 1955 in Washington, D.C., Agnes Carolyn Carter Swann and James Terrance Swann welcomed another member to their family and named him Jasen Terrance Swann.
Jasen was raised in Charles County, Maryland where he attended school. He was a wizard with computers and loved fishing, hunting, boating, motor cycling, camping and bicycling. Needless to say, he loved the outdoors. By profession, Jasen was a Heavy Equipment Operator, more specifically, a Crane Operator. He was a part of the construction team that built Union Station and the prison tower at Lorton. He also worked as a Security Guard at the National Airline Association and was an Operating Engineer, Union 77.
Among the many talents and hobbies Jasen displayed, he was known to take on some home improvement and remodeling projects, tinkled with the CB radio and had the handle of "Your Granddad," played the guitar, designed jewelry and spirit sticks with his Indian Community (Piscataway-Conoy) which he embraced.
Jasen could be found attending family cook-outs or playing the occasional game of bingo. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when he could. He often talked of conspiracy theories with family and friends and he was kind and loving especially to his grandchildren of whom he was proud. Last but not least and not to be forgotten is the genuine friendship Jasen had with his four legged friend, BB, which stood for Bad Boy.
Suddenly, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his home in Manassas, Virginia, Jasen transitioned to eternal life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes "Carolyn" and James Swann, grandparents, Robert and Victoria Carter and Cora Swann, infant son, Jay Swann, sisters, Joyce and Janice and brother, James "Jimmy."
He is survived by wife; Monica, children; Jason "Sonny" Whetstone, Eric "Ricky" Swann and Janay Swann; grandchildren, Eric, Jr., Naijae, Aaliayah, Jacob, Jason, Asia, London and Madison, siblings; Joan Swann, June Queen, Jacqueline Medley, Jaszma Swann, Judy Craig, Jayne Moreland, Pamelah Murray, John Thomas, Jeffery Thomas, Jr. and Rodney Murray, aunts; Vickki Smith "Woots," and Gladys Mack, and uncle; Mack Washington, companion and caregiver; Margaret Coppege and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
