Johnson, Janice Anita, Age 72 of Clinton, Maryland.

Peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Bradford Oaks Center in Clinton, Maryland, Janice Anita Johnson passed away after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Johnson and mother, Eva M. Johnson of Crumpler, West Virginia.

Janice attended McDowell County public schools in West Virginia and was a graduate of the class of 1961 from Elkhorn High School, Elkhorn, West Virginia.

Janice moved to the Washington DC area in the early 60's and remained there until her death. Janice was a long time employee of the Hot Shoppes Restaurant and the Marriott Corporation.

She leaves to mourn her memory, two sisters, Susan A. Johnson (James) Webster of Hyattsville, Maryland and Carrie Johnson Gravely of Indian Head, Maryland, one brother, James "Jimmy" (Lena F.) Johnson of Dale City, Virginia. Janice also leaves one niece, Renee Webster, two nephews, Reginald Wilson and Derek Webster, two great-nephews, Reginald, Jr. and Ramere and a host of cousins.

Viewing, 11:00am until 12 noon, Saturday, December 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland.
