CHISLEY, JAMES ROBERT SR. (AGE 76) OF NEWBURG, MD

James Robert Chisley Sr. was born 76 years ago on November 7, 1939, in LaPlata, MD to the late James and the late Mary Chisley. He was affectionately called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. James was a very well-known man and loved by many.

He attended Charles County Public Schools and then went on to help support family and his younger siblings. James then married the love of his life, Dorothy and along came Jurney, Tony, Jeffery, Tammy, Sheri, Angie, Amanda and his baby girl Jackie.

He was a dedicated employee with the Naval Ordinance Station for 33 ½ years until his retirement in 1993. He also worked for the Copsey's at the Sunoco gas station in LaPlata as a mechanic. This is where he met everybody in Charles County. He enjoyed watching football and was a diehard Miami Dolphin fan. He also loved to cook out, fry fish, oyster scalds and play cards with his Shiloh buddies. But his greatest love was spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, James and Mary, he was preceded in death by his two sons, James Jr.(Jurney)and Anthony (Tony); two brothers, Jerome & Thomas (Tommy) Chisley.

In addition to his wife Dorothy of 56 years, he is also survived by his children: Jeffery (Terra), Tonya (James), Sheri (Jasper), Andrea, Amanda (Dennis) and Jackie. Grandchildren: Antwon Chisley, Tiffany Chisley, Christopher Chisley, Brandon Greenhow, Ja'Quille Magazine, Devin Johnson, Malachi Silver, Asia Chisley, Devonna Wade and Kamal Long. Great Grandchildren: Dena'e Lancaster, Taverez Chisley, Tyree Chisley, Tavion Chisley, SaniyaKelis Wade and Savion Wade. Brothers and Sisters: Julius Chisley, Elizabeth Brown, Margaret Pratt, Ada Chisley, Richard Chisley, Anita Mason and Rose Chisley. Uncles: William T. Bowman, Roland Dyson, Jackie Butler and Harold Jones. Aunts: Agnes Johnson, Alma Butler, Celestine Dyson, Elizabeth Jones, Bertha Chisley, and a host of nieces and nephews. Sons-In-Law: Jasper Magazine & James Johnson Daughter In-Law: Andrea Chisley-McGeorge Brothers In-Law: Anthony Mason, Howard Cobey, Robert Smith, Charles Proctor, and James (Danny) Proctor. Sisters In-Law: Isadora Chisley, Gail Chisley, Gloria Jean Chisley, Joan Beverly, Mary Cobey, Theresa Smoot, Mildred Smith and Patricia Savoy.

Special Friends: Louis Chesley, Louis Countiss, Joe Holton, Danny Proctor, Bruce Holmes, Clyde Copsey, Terrence Washinton, and the Shiloh Crew and a host of loving relatives and friends.
