James Louis Milstead (Age 77) of Newburg, Maryland.

James Louis Milstead was born March 17, 1941 to the late William Milstead and Eva Gutrick Milstead in Nanjemoy, Maryland. He was educated in the Charles County Public School System.

James was employed by Bob Decker Construction Company for more than 20 years. He held the positions of Carpenter and Construction Foreman.

James was a devoted and loving father who always bragged on his children. Everyone who met him knew he was going to tell them all about his children. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and he loved visiting and spending time with them.

His hobbies were, fishing, playing horse shoes and dancing. When he attended a party, he was most definitely the life of that party! James liked new cars and was known for driving a new car every six months.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd and William Milstead, Jr.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, children: Denette Milstead, Toni Washington and their mother, Mary Posey; James Louis Milstead, Jr. "Peanut", Calvin Milstead "Button," Lowell Milstead "Chuckie," Dorothy "Cookie" Wilson (Tony), Rita Ford and their mother Dorothy Ford-Watts; and Dorothy (Dot) King his sweetheart of more than 43 years and her children whom he was like a father; grandchildren, Tonya, Joshua, Kenell, Clifton, Tyronne, Sabrina, Charles Jr, Ebony, Brian, Shelby, Tarlita, Sasha, Lowell Jr, Brandy, Deonte and Laila; great grandchildren Samiya, Jaliya, Joshua Jr, Tyquan, Omareon, Capria, Katoria, Que'Shawn, Alecia, Jaziah, Key'Shon, Zarion, Ean and Taliyah; sisters, Lorraine Taylor, Bessie Carroll (Albert) and Violet White; brothers, Charles Milstead (Mary) and Robert Milstead (Nanny); sister-in-law,  Betty Milstead and a host of other relatives and friends.

His Viewing will be 10:00 am, until time of Service, 11:00 am,  Friday, December 7, 2018 at Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Nanjemoy, Maryland.
