Isabel Devine Seeney Greene was born in Camden, New Jersey on February 27, 1919 to the late John D. and Isabel Reed Seeney. She was preceded in death by her brother John W. Seeney and sister Catherine R. Johnston. She departed this life on December 30, 2010.
Isabel lived and was educated in Camden New Jersey. Isabel moved to Washington, DC to pursue a career with the Federal government. In 1941 she began working for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. She retired from the Bureau in February 1974.
Isabel was united in Holy Matrimony on May 13, 1951 to the late Howard W. Greene. To this union was born one daughter Kyle Camille (Button) Adams.
Isabel enjoyed her retirement to the fullest. One of her greatest joys was traveling. She and her good friend and neighbor, Henrietta Jones were always on the go. She traveled the world to Africa, Far East (China and Japan), Alaska, Jerusalem, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Russia. She also traveled as often as possible throughout the United States.
Isabel was a loving devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Kyle (Button) Adams; grandson, Christopher Adams; great grandson, Jordan Adams; one niece Lauren Trott; three nephews, Malcolm (Chip) Johnston, John (Ricky) Seeney and Guy Seeney. She also leaves behind several grand nieces and nephews, several in-laws and a host of friends.

Her viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 5th, 10am until service time 11am at Ward Memorial AME Church, 241 42nd Street, N.E., Washington, DC 20019. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Arrangements entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, PA, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD.
