Howard Jackson, 81, of Capital Heights, Maryland.

Howard Jackson, 81, of Washington, DC, passed away on July 13, 2023, of natural causes.

Howard was born on November 4, 1941, to Evelyn Delores Jackson and Andrew Frederick Jackson in Washington, DC. After graduating from Eastern High School, he went straight into the workforce working for DC Public Schools as a Civil Engineer for 30 years.

In November 1987, Howard and Diccie May Jackson wed and joined together as a blended family. The family now included Howard's children from previous marriages: Victoria Jackson, Anita Ramalingam, Rita Jackson, and Mark Jackson and Diccie's children, Lynn Whitaker and Reginald Tabron. They conceived one son together, Erick Jackson.

After retiring from the DC Public School System, Howard spent his time hosting family cookouts, holiday parties, and enjoying his grandchildren. He was a dedicated member of the Integrity Church International.

Howard Jackson was predeceased by his brother Sidney Jackson and Sister Marian Morse. In addition to his wife and children, Howard is survived by four siblings, Beatrice Porter, Caroline Pitt Sonia, Wendell Jackson, and Lionel Jackson, grandchildren: Victor Rose, Christina Ballard, Andrew Rose, Krystal Rose, Jessica Davis, Erika Holloman, David Hinton, Richard Hinton, Mark Jackson II, Shapreena Jackson, Napril Jackson, Tatiana Wallace, Earl Wallace, Angel Jackson. Jayvon Jackson, Layloni Jackson, Erin Jackson, Andrew and Ebony Tabron, great grandchildren; Destiny Hubbard, Trinity Hubbard, London Bennett, Dillan Davis, Dyson Davis, Elijah Holloman, Sebastian Holloman, Selah Lawrence, Bilen Lawrence, Malachi Hinton, Mark Jackson III, Sophia Jackson, In-laws; Roy Ramalingam, Gerald Holloman, Dale Davis Jr, Bridgett Hinton, and Samrawit Yimam, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing, 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2023, until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.

Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
