Hilda Elizabeth
Thomas
January 16, 1954 – September 22, 2023
On Friday, September 22, 2023, in the comfort of her own home Hilda Elizabeth Thomas departed this life and entered a life of eternal peace.
Hilda, also known to her family and friends as "Dee Dee" was born January 16, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Walter Thomas and Mary Helen Johnson.
Hilda was educated in the Charles County Public School system. She wore many different hats when it came to work. She owned and managed her own cleaning business, the Washington D.C. Police Force, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and The Charles County Board of Education as the mailroom clerk. During her younger years Hilda, just like her mom, loved playing softball. Hilda had many other talents such as sketching, drawing, and fishing.
She enjoyed many things in her life; mainly enjoying being around her family during Thanksgiving and Christmas. When Hilda wanted to relax, she would take a short trip down to the Marshall Hall waterfront where she would fish and meditate. Any other time you could drop by she'd be sitting in front of the TV shuffling cards until you could barely read the print on them. In her early years she loved to have a great time and being the life of the party. In her later years, she enjoyed seeing "ACE", her great-grand-fur baby, and solving murder mysteries.
In addition to her parents, Hilda was also preceded in death by her brother Renwick "Eric" Newman, her sister Robin Newman, and her Favorite Aunt Agnes Sydnor (Ant Pete).
