Gone, but never Forgotten

Herbert Winfield Proctor Sr.

Herbert Winfield Proctor Sr. affectionately known as Winfield was born to the late Morris & Agnes Proctor on August 21, 1955. He transitioned to eternal life at the age of 67 on February 24, 2023 after a long fight from a massive stroke.

On May 7, 1977 Winfield married the love of his life Tess Rena Proctor. From this union they had three children; Christina (Tina) Proctor, Theresa Stone(Daniel) and Herbert Proctor Jr., six grandchildren; Nathan Holton Jr.(Lakita), Christina White, Theresa Williams, Kyshawna Thomas, Herbert Proctor III and Diamond Proctor, two great grandchildren Nathan Holton III and Jaylen Holton. He also leaves to cherish his memories six siblings; Shirley Proctor, Elizabeth Bowman, Mary Neal, Salome Savoy, Larry Proctor and David (Timmy) Proctor, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Winfield was educated in the Charles County Public School System. In which is also where he later went on to work for 24 years before retiring to pursue his passions full time. Some of his passions included playing horseshoes, cornhole and other games like Uno. He loved to talk trash when he was winning. The Washington Redskins or Washington Commanders as they are known today was his favorite football team and he represented them every chance he could by wearing their apparel and putting their decals on his vehicles. He loved going to Budds Creek race track, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to watch movies especially Westerns, cutting grass and building things was his specialty.

Winfield is preceded in death by his parents Morris & Agnes Proctor, six brothers; Emanuel Proctor, Milton Proctor, Theodore Proctor, Bernard (Billy) Proctor, Jerome Proctor and Vernon Proctor, one sister Barbara Proctor, and his son-in-law Daniel Stone.
