Harrison Chea Jiedueh of Accokeek, Maryland peacfully transitioned on April 26, 2026 in Washington, DC.
Mr. Harrison Chea Jiedueh, widely known as Black Baby, was a man of many talents. He excelled as a professional artist, political cartoonist, entrepreneur, DJ, clothing designer, photographer, videographer, and IT professional. A proud Liberian, he remained deeply connected to the events and experiences shaping both Liberia and its diaspora communities. He firmly believed that the pen was mightier than the sword and that intelligence outweighed physical strength.
The Late Mr. Jiedueh leaves to mourn, his wife: Margaret G. Oberly-Jiedueh, his children: Brain Jiedueh, Wokie Chedi Jiedueh-Adjei, Frank Porsche Oberly, Harrison Chea Jiedueh II, and Nevin Korjule Jiedueh, his grandchildren: Breanell Y. Jiedueh, Angel K. Jiedueh, Nevin Joel Jiedueh, and Bryson James Oberly. He also leaves numerous beloved friends and family members.
Viewing, Friday, May 15, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640 and on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9:00 am until time of Service 10:00 at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 7365 Indian Head Highway, Bryans Road, Maryland 20616. Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetry, Waldorf, Maryland.
