Harold Grant, Jr, (Age 78) of Suitland, Maryland.

Harold Grant Jr. fearlessly known as "Booster," was the second of four children born to the (late) Harold Grant Sr. and Norvis Grant. Booster was born April 15, 1941 and departed this life peacefully on October 11, 2019.

Booster grew up in Washington, DC and was educated in the DC public school system where he met and later married Lorraine Clanton.  From their union, the couple had three sons.  Booster was an intricate part of his community and possessed a strong work ethic—a quality he passed down to his sons. He worked in security services and was a building supervisor for the Virginian government for more than 30 years.  At the age of 60 he retired from both occupations due to health concerns.

Booster had several leisure activities that he passionately loved. He loved to skate—and frequently showed off his skills at the Kalorama Rd, Baltimore, Lanham and Crystal Skating Rinks.  He enjoyed skating so much that taught his sons to skate before they could walk.  He also, was crazy about "old western movies," sooooo much so, that he named his baby boy "Shane," after an old western actor!  Eating was the favorite of his passions, when we would have family gatherings or picnics—this gave him more than enough opportunity to  R E A L L Y  PIG OUT!!!

Harold Grant Jr., was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Gladden and his brother, Nathaniel Grant. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 55 years: Lorraine Grant, three children: Bernard (Joyce) Grant, Landon (Teresa) Grant, Pernell Grant, two brothers: Joseph Grant and Kino Grant, five grandchildren: Denee, DeAndre, Denise, Ciara, and Stephan, three great-grandchildren: Janiya, Jayden and Jerzey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Viewing, Tuesday October 29, 2019, 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, Pa, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head Maryland 20640.

Interment, Tuesday October 29, 2019, 1 p.m. Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
