MARSHALL, GLORIA MAY "BABYSIS" (AGE 87) OF CLINTON, MARYLAND

Gloria May Marshall, affectionately known as "Babysis" was born to the late George & Madeline Ransome on July 10, 1934, in Washington, D.C.  Gloria gained her wings Monday, January 10, 2022. She is survived by daughters Delores Curtis, Sherri Marshall, Mona Wallace, and Annette Harvey; sons Gregory "Darnell" Marshall and Johnathan Marshall; brothers Leon Ransome and David Ransome; sisters Barbara Jean Washington and Lorraine "Pat" Johnson, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Gloria was employed at the Naval Support Facility Center, located in Indian Head, Maryland, where she held several positions, and made many friends along the way. Later, retiring with over 20 years of service, she moved on to enjoy unwinding at the casinos, relaxing at home watching her favorite television shows, visiting farmer's markets, and playing bingo. She was always on the go! A heart bigger than life, she never turned a blind eye to anyone in need of help. She will always be remembered as a kind, gentle, and loving person.

We bid farewell to our matriarch, until we meet again.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents George & Madeline Ransome, husband Overton Roscoe "Amos" Marshall, sons James "Jimmy" Marshall, George "Georgie" Marshall, Robert "Bobby" Marshall Sr., and Warren Marshall; siblings, Delores "Lois" Anderson, George "Fatboy" Ransome Jr., Alphonso "Ba Brother" Ransome, Robert "Bobby" Ransome, Walter Ransome, & Jerome "Chippy" Ransome.

Her viewing will be held from 11:00am until time of service 12:00am on Saturday, January 29th, at Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Private interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.
