Gloria Ann Marshall, daughter of the late James and Viola Marshall, was born on October 16, 1938, in White Plains, Maryland. Gloria was better known to many as "Fuzzie".

On Saturday, July 9, 2011, the Lord said unto Gloria, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things, Enter thou into the joy of the Lord." (Matthew 25:21)

Gloria was educated at Pomonkey High School. She later attended Southeastern University, in Washington, DC where she studied paralegal/documentation. Gloria was a devoted and loving mother of Dale L. Marshall.

Gloria loved to work; she started with the Federal Government and retired after more than 30 years of service; as well as worked part time in the retail and income tax industries. Gloria's favorite pastime was shopping, "until you dropped- where your arms and legs could not carry on". She also loved traveling and being with her family and friends. She supported her daughter in her party planning/catering business and outreach community services. She also helped many of her nieces and nephews.

Her loving parents, six brothers, Orbrin, Vernon, Larry, Roscoe, Shannon, Laurel, and one sister, Gladys whom the family misses tremendously preceded Gloria in death.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, her daughter Dale; sisters, Bernice Blair, Audrey Hagens (Warren), Bernette Estep, Eleanor Miles (William) and Alma Marshall; several Godchildren; many, many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and great friends.

Her Service was held at 11am on Friday, July 15, 2011 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4535 Piney Church Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Interment, was in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Arrangements, were entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Indian Head, Maryland.
