Geraldine Regina Key also known as Sis Baby Simmons was born August 29, 1946 in Marbury, Maryland. She was called home on Feb 13, 2013.

Geraldine resided in Pisgah, Maryland. She attended Charles County public schools and was raised in Marbury, Maryland by her grandmother, the late Alice Kelton.

Geraldine married the late Joseph Earl Key Sr., on Sept, 14, 1981. Geraldine was called home two days before her husband's 16th year death anniversary. Up until her husband's untimely passing Geraldine and Joseph were best friends. They were very seldom seen without each other.

Geraldine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and watching her favorite television shows.

In addition to her husband and grandmother, Geraldine was preceded in death by her great granddaughter Jon'naeh Davis.

Geraldine is survived by seven children, Brenda Davis, Linda Stewart, Joseph Jr., Michael Sr., Geraldine, Edward Sr., and Zachery Sr.; twenty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; brother, Earl Maddox, sisters, Estelle (Betty) Taylor and Louise (Lou) Key; four daughters-in-law, two sons-in- law; sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams and brother-in-law, Thomas Key and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation, 10am until time of Service, 11am, Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Chapel of THORNTON Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, Smith Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pisgah, Maryland.
