Obituary

Geraldine Lucille Hicks, 90, of Indian Head, Maryland.

Geraldine Lucille Hicks was born to the late Nancy Hicks in Wicomico, Maryland. She received her education in the Charles County School System and graduated from Bel Alton High School in Bel Alton, Maryland.

At a young age, Geraldine joined Trinity Episcopal Parish (Newport) in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, and began worshiping there with her mother and her siblings where her faith grew strong.
Geraldine maintained strong faith throughout her life, keeping Christ the cornerstone of her existence as she continued worshiping at Trinity her entire life. She was a committed and active member until she gained her wings. She loved her Trinity church family and enjoyed the fellowship she shared with them.

She was employed at Ely's Department Store as a Sales Associate for many years serving her local community with a smile and kindness. While working as a sales associate she also worked for Charles County Public Schools as a bus driver and transported generations of children to and from school whether in snow, sleet, or rain. After retiring from driving the school bus and working as a sales associate, Geraldine continued working in the Prince George's County Public School system.

Geraldine had a quiet and kind presence. Her love for her family was unparalleled and she found great joy in spending time with them. Geraldine was a loving and devoted Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Friend who played an important role in each of the lives she touched. Thanksgiving Holiday was always held at her house where generations of family members gathered to partake in the meal she prepared with love. She also enjoyed watching the Washington Commanders and Dancing with the Stars, gardening, puzzles, shopping, and dressing in the latest fashion. Geraldine was a very supportive, a helping hand, she worked extremely hard to provide for her family but most of all she was a wonderful person.
