WASHINGTON, GEORGE HENRY SR. (AGE 57) OF MARBURY, MD

On Sunday, July 19, 2015, George Henry Washington, Sr., affectionately known as "Leaky," at the age of 57, quietly entered eternal life at his residence in Marbury, MD.

He was born to the late Dorothy Elizabeth and James Francis Washington Sr. on September 23, 1957 in Prince Georges Hospital, Cheverly, MD.

George was educated in the Prince Georges County Public School System. He was employed for many years as a construction worker and briefly worked with Rolyn Company. George liked to cook and attend cookouts with family and friends. He liked to listen to oldies but goodies music and watch westerns. His passion was spending time outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Thelma Marshall, Pearl Washington, Francine Pettaway, Bernell Washington, brother, Joseph Washington and one special friend, Jennifer Lawson.

He is survived by his son George Washington Jr., step-son, Levi Lawson, daughters; Patricia Proctor, Jymknyeckyia Washington, and Ileah Lawson, brother, James Washington; sisters, Dorothy McSpadden, Ida Wilkins; one sister-in-law Dorothy Washington; one brother-in-law, Robert Marshall; twelve grandchildren Zoe, Chloe, Gary, Zyneir, Seandrell, Laniya, Noah, Mylea, Tyler, Nola, Jordan, and Kiara; one special niece, Patricia Chase; one special friend, Sharon Swann; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

His viewing will be held from 9am until time of service 10am on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD 20640.
