Obituary

George A. Carter, Jr. of District Heights, Maryland formally of Nanjemoy, Maryland.

George Albert Carter, Jr. was born,January 25, 1932 in Grayton, Maryland to the late George A. Carter, Sr. and the late Bertha Virginia Coates Carter.He transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the home of his daughter, Bertha in District Heights, Maryland.

George Albert Carter, married the late Lola Phyllis Carter,the love of his life in 1952.He was a loving and devoted husband and from that union they had six daughters and three sons. At an early age ,George joined Oak Grove Baptist Church. During his time in Charles County , he worked at St.Elizabeth Hospital, where he was a steamfitter and later retired after thirty-two years of service. George had a passion for "CARS"; he fixed them, rebuilt them or sup them up. After fixing them he races them. Mainly(Black Pontiac GTO "65"). If you knew George , the way his family did he was always"IN Black Grease".

In 2010,George moved to District Heights, Maryland, Where he enjoyed the rest of his life with his family. He loved his "Redskins" football team, wrestling ,attended church , family reunions, and vacations with his children ,grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We Love you granddaddy and you will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by his wife, Lola P. Carter; his two brothers Theodore and Freddie Carter and two grandsons.

George's survivors which includes and treasuring many memories for his six daughters; one daughter-in-law, three son; four son-in-laws; one sister Mary(Louis "Chick"); Noble (Pat); Henry (Letha);Benjamin (Delores); Walter Carter; James ( Loretta Ann); Colbert (Joyce); three sister-in laws; Mary (Theodore); and Goldie (Freddie); And Laura Washington, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
