A TIME TO BE BORN
Francis was born to the late Archie and Mascelia Posey on May 14, 1939, in Charles County, Maryland. He was the oldest of his siblings.

A TIME TO LOVE
Francis was united in holy matrimony to Shirley Thomas in 1959. They were married for over 56 years raising three children (Clifton, Patricia, and Vanetta).

A TIME FOR FAMILY
He loved his family and wife, and he would not miss an opportunity to gather with them. He loved his wife's home cooked meals and especially her cakes, pies, and rice pudding were his favorites. He provided for his family, they never wanted or needed anything. He always celebrated birthday parties with his children, family, and friends.

A TIME FOR GOD
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and baptized along with his wife on July 16, 1959, at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith at 1230 C St., NE. Washington DC. He helped to build (pouring concrete) for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic faith in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which is the church's headquarters location. Bishop Johnson, the church overseer often called him, "young buck" because he was a hardworking soldier for the Lord. He regularly drove to Washington, D.C. with a carload of church members to include Brother Parker, Brother Jones and Brother Gardener, as his riding crew in his squeaky clean classic 1956 Buick. He also helped to build the local church in Ironsides, Maryland working day and night, but he did it for his Lord and Savior.

A TIME FOR EDUCATION & WORK
He attended Charles County public schools. He was employed in the construction industry as an expert installer of water/sewer lines for various companies to include the historic Watergate Hotel located in Washington, D.C. During his time of employment, he began as a labor but was later elevated to managing various work sites and belonged to various Labor Unions. He retired from Bay Country Contractors with over 20 years of loyal service. He was the guy who arrived early, worked late, sacrificed weekends, never complained, quickly responded to emergency situations, and accomplished all tasks in a professional manner.

A TIME TO LIVE
He was a long-time resident of Nanjemoy. Everyone knew "Boo" as the person who would help anyone. He loved making a fashion statement and was always "GQ Down" with his collection of hats and suits. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting throughout his entire life. He could shoot a good game of pool with the fellows at his home. He appreciated his early farm life and carried that love into his later years. He raised pigs, hogs, and cows. Watching his roosters, hens, and baby chickens strutting across the yard always put a smile on his face. And let's not forget his love for dogs giving them the same names "Brownie or Bully." Occasionally, he would talk about how he rode horses in his earlier years throughout Nanjemoy. He was a car lover, enjoyed going to the Bud's Creek racetrack, had a good sense of humor and was a "tell-it-like-it-is" guy being straight-up with folks while keeping his outgoing and humorous personality. One of his proudest accomplishments was to establish the "Doncaster Warriors Softball Team" that played throughout Charles County and won many hard played games against competitive teams. He used his own funds to create the team and they played for over 20 years. At the end of each season, he brought trophies for his team players. Most importantly, he was a role-model mentor for young men who today have benefitted from his outstanding leadership. He sponsored charted bus trips to many amusement parks and Atlantic City to help finance the team. He was a die-hard "Dallas Cowboy" fan. Also, among his many passions was, of course, his love for "MUSIC." "DJ BOO-BOO", was a super-bad DJ performing everywhere in the area. He could rock the earth with his powerful high-performance window shattering custom speakers. Not only did he enjoy listening and playing music, but he also loved to dance! At 83 years old, he could still rock and roll to the music. HE ENJOYED HIS LIFE!
