Obituary

On Thursday, August 26, 2021, Frances Keye (Scott) Greenwood earned her wings and transitioned to eternal life.

Frances was born in Washington, DC to Ernest and Evelyn Scott and settled in Charles County, Waldorf, Maryland.

She was employed at the Department of Human Services for over 12 years as an Administrative Assistant before transferring to Management Operations. She also volunteered to support the Executive Secretarial Team.  Frances was always willing to take the lead on team building events and took a personal interest in the Feds Feeds Families drives.  In addition to her full time job, Frances dedicated many years of service, part time to the Southern Maryland Hospital Center Emergency Unit in Clinton, Maryland.

Along with her career, Frances really enjoyed planning parties!  Her zest for life and celebration shined through with every event, personally.

With her familiar big smile and equally big heart, Frances enjoyed gathering with family and friends, traveling, singing, eating out, shopping and simply "enjoying life."

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Evelyn Scott, sister, Rose Bouknight and brother, Nathan Clements.

To celebrate and cherish her memory, Frances leaves behind two sons, Gary Pope and Maurice Johnson, two daughters, Michelle Scott and Courtney Greenwood, seven grandchildren, two brothers, Edward and Rodney Scott, one sister-friend, Jeannetta Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
