Frances Viola Dorsey Wilson (Age 84) of Issue, Maryland.
Frances Viola Wilson, at the age of 84, departed this life on Monday, January 19, 2015 at her home in Issue, MD surrounded by the love of her husband, Bernard.
Frances, also known as "Fannie" or "Aunt Fannie," was born in Newport, Maryland on July 10, 1930 to the late James B. Dorsey and the late Mary Rebecca Dorsey Thomas.
On December 21, 1969, Frances married Bernard O. Wilson, Jr. Although, no children were born to this union, the couple formed loving relationships with special nieces and nephews.
Frances attended schools within the Charles County School system. In her earlier years, she was employed by Physicians Memorial Hospital (now University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center). She also worked many years as a care provider for the Newcomb Family of La Plata, Maryland. However, she retired from the Charles County Public School system as a Food Service Worker or "head chef," as she was seen in the eyes of her family after more than 20 years of dedicated service. After retirement, she worked as a cook at Camp St. Charles in Rock Point, Maryland.
Frances became a member of the Holy Ghost Church, Issue, Maryland while very young and has been a member ever since.
Frances was a gourmet cook and enjoyed canning, gardening and fishing, and she especially enjoyed boating with her husband. She will always be remembered for telling jokes, leaving a smile on the faces and in the hearts of her family.
In addition to her husband, Bernard, she is also survived by a devoted niece and nephew, Ethel Early and Joseph P. Dorsey, Jr.; sisters, Eva E. Green, Lorretta V. Dorsey, Ollie J. Thomas, and Margaret C. Tolson; sisters-in-law, Hazel Thomas and Rosalie Stephenson, and a devoted sister-in-law, Margaret E. Dorsey "Baby," and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Viewing, 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 15848 Rock Point Road, Issue, Maryland 20645. Interment, Church Cemetery.
