IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Faith Natasha
Daugherty
May 10, 1981 – November 9, 2022
Daugherty, Faith Natasha (Age 41) of Upper Marlboro, MD (formerly of Fayetteville, NC)
On May 10, 1981, in Hampton, Virginia, Faith Natasha Daugherty was born to Leroy James and Deborah "Debbie" Alston. However, Faith was blessed to also have Keith Alston in her life as a bonus dad.
Although born in Virginia, being a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army afforded Faith the opportunity to call North Carolina, Texas, Georgia and Maryland her home.
While Faith was very committed to her role in the U.S. Army, she was more devoted to her role as Mom to Keon James and Saivon Hatch, her pride and joy.
From October 2019 to July 2020 Faith supported her country in Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait. Among her successes, she received the Army Commendation Medal, was awarded the Army Achievement Medal twice and held a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She was a physical fitness enthusiast and enjoyed running.
Faith's interest included reading, music to include R&B and Hip-Hop, traveling, painting and sewing. She embraced the alkaline vegan lifestyle and was extremely passionate about it. She had purchased a house and was proud of that achievement.
Faith will be remembered as being strong willed and headstrong, but equally loving, caring, motivated, determined and inspirational. In addition to her family, these traits will be remembered by her friends Key,Key – Shonda Gentle – Tracey – Kyra and Shamar Johnson.
On November 9, 2022 while at her parents residence in Landover, Maryland, Faith quietly transitioned from this life.
In addition to her parents, Leroy James (Magdalene) and Deborah and Keith Alston, loving memories will remain with her sons, Keon and Saivon, sisters, Dametria Gray, Christy Harris, and Fasionette Alston, brother, Johnathan James, grandmothers, Warner James and Emmaline Hull, brothers-in-law, Derrick Harris and Carlton Gray, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her viewing will be held from 10:00am until time of service 11:00am, Friday, November 18, 2022, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment date and time to be determined at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.
