Swann, Eurica Michelle (AGE 46) of Pomfret, MD
Eurica Michelle Swann (affectionally know as Pop) passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2014 at her home in Pomfret, Maryland. She was born to the late Albert E. Swann, Sr., and the late Patricia D. Swann on August 14, 1968 in Washington, DC .
Pop graduated in 1986 from Maurice J. McDonough High School in Pomfret, Maryland. Soon after graduating, Pop went to work for the United States Naval Research Laboratory. Her love for the elderly led her to work as a Nurses Aide at the Charles County Nursing Home in LaPlata, Maryland.
Pop joined the Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Nanjemoy, Maryland and was baptized on April 9, 2003 by Rev. Francis J. Ford. Her love for the elderly led her to serve several years with the Nursing Ministry at Mount Hope.
Pop shared that same love for many of her elderly family members as she selfishly served as their caretaker. She loved to have a good ole conversation with any and everyone. Pop was known for her glint and glamour with style. Baking cakes was one of her pastimes, her favorite cake was chocolate. Many knew Pop as a self-certified hair stylist. She had several faithful clients. Pop will be truly missed by her family members and friends.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Anthony Delanta Montgomery; step-mother, Mary (Tang) Swann; brothers, Albert Swann, Jr., A. EuRon Swann; sister-in-law, Shuan Barbour-Swann; step-sisters; Stephanie, Donna, Marcieta, Michelle and Kimberely; a step-brother, Dale; a godson whom she adored; Tykiem Devon Chase; Aunts and Uncles; Angela Carter-Dorsey (Lionel), Rachael Ann Makle (Russell), Evelyn and Audrey Swann, Renetta Penny (Oliver), Mary Everdine Britt (Rev. Earl), Joseph Carter, Jr., Harold Swann, Sr., and Norman Swann, Jr.; close and dear friends; Tammy Smalls, Diane Johnson, Ruth Young and Wanda Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Her viewing will be held from 9am until time of service 11am on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 8705 Gilroy Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Interment Church Cemetery.
